dexter daze

Midwest Graphics and Awards is proud to announce our debut at the Dexter Daze Art Festival. This annual festival held in Monument Park on August 12th and 13th from 10 AM to 8 PM.

While we’ve been located in Dexter since 2014, this will be our first Dexter Daze. Our booth will be an opportunity for the community to come and meet the staff, learn about our products and services.

Here’s how to find our booth:

Booth Location

We’ll be right near the intersection of Main Street and Baker Road right by the entrance of “Social Tent”, better known as the beer tent.

Our booth will feature items for sale, samples of our work, and live printing! Stop by our booth to print your own t-shirt with art created by our own Annie Fink.

Annie has worked for MGA for the past two summers while attending grad school at Eastern Michigan for Visual Arts Education. She was given a mission to create some unique art that represents the Dexter community and we think she has done a wonderful job doing so. We’re not going to spoil the surprise, so you’ll just have to stop in to see it.

We will have a selection of pre-printed garments for sale or you can choose your own and have it printed. If you’re feeling adventurous, we’ll even let you throw on an apron and do it yourself!

If you are a business owner or decision maker in another organization stop by our booth and fill out an interest form and receive a free travel coffee mug. We’d like to learn more about your business and give you the opportunity to learn more about ours.

We’ll also have free balloons for the kids!

Service Note:

On Friday the 12th, the Midwest Graphics and Awards shop will close early, at 3:00 PM. There will be no production taking place that day. If you have an order in house that you are coming to pick up, please arrive before 3:00 PM or make arrangements with us to come pick up your order from our booth. We will be open our normal business hours again the following Monday.

Midwest Graphics and Awards would like to introduce to you Sip & Screen[print!].

Please join us for an upcoming Sip & Screen[print!] event, held at the MGA shop where we will teach techniques for printing apparel (t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.) and/or flatstock (cards, posters, etc). Bring your friends and your favorite beverages for a wonderful evening of fun and learning. We are excited to bring it to the Ann Arbor/Dexter area and hope you will check it out!

Here are some action shots from our first class that was held right before Valentine’s Day. We had a wonderful group of ladies who had a fun, productive and creative evening with Head Screen Printer Salvator Escalante, Director of Apparel Cressey Kovolesky, and Studio Manager Abbie Buhr leading them through the process. You don’t see Abbie in the photo’s because she’s the one behind the camera.

You’ll be able to take home the shirt you print yourself (or cards), as well as a helpful how-to one page guide to screen printing. Also if time allows, there will be opportunities to purchase additional garments and cards during the class if you’d like to make more than what’s included.

BYOB is encouraged, and you are also more than welcome to stop at the neighborhood brewery Null Taphouse and pick up any of their fine offerings and bring them with you!

Our class page will be up shortly where you can view info about upcoming events, pricing and sign up information. Interested in having a private event for you and your friends? Please email Abbie at for more information and to get your Sip & Screen[print!] class set up! You can pick the theme and even the designs (for an additional cost). Just to name a few ideas:

  • Mom’s night out (or Dad’s)
  • Wedding/Bachelorette groups
  • Kids Bday Party (ages 10 and up)
  • Date night activity
  • Holiday themed/gift making

Look out for our new schedule soon and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram! Next up- St Patricks Day- because everyone needs a green shirt, especially one you print yourself!

Let us know in the comments what you think. Would you be interested in participating in Sip & Screen[print!]?
